Unique Concrete is a decorative patterned concrete company. We have been serving Northern New Jersey since 1980. Unique Concrete is an owner operated and family run business that remains hands on for the entire job. With over 40 years of experience in the masonry trade and over 30 years of creating patterns in colored concrete, we have the background and knowledge to approach each job with creative enthusiasm.
Our process of constructing decorative concrete involves innovations that are unique to us. We make deep impressions in the concrete that create a cast-in place concrete tile, brick, or stone. These impressions are grouted in a separate step and tooled to establish the realistic look of custom masonry. We place the construction joints and control joints within the grout lines in order to make them less obvious. We also texture the surface to provide slip resistance and visual interest. In essence, we are creating a cast-in-place custom masonry product with the structural integrity of heavily reinforced concrete. All of our work is reinforced with: structural synthetic fibers (which provide three-dimensional support), steel, and internal waterproofers (which provide density, abrasion resistance, and durability).
